i need some help on the dob and value on this handgun.

blue finish- 95%
rubber pachymar grips

also what type of grips are original to this year gun

DOB 1972, wood, pic's for value( some are going for around 300-500)
 
$300-350 around here generally.

I've seen some bozo FFL's who've had $600 price tags on stainless steel SS, no box, only good shape who've had them forever.
 
Depends on the finish. A pristine Security-Six is worth much more than one that looks like it's been used as a hammer. GunsAmerica has one that was at $100 and no takers. Even though it's banged up a bit, what a price!

Bill Ruger said he never made a dime off a Security-Six because the profits were almost non-existent. Unfortunately, they often sell for much less than they're worth. Unseen, three hundred sounds a bit right, but with the political climate being what it is, I think all guns might be going up. They're good hedges against inflation and eight years from now I doubt you'll be able to get any decent gun under a grand.
