That's a nice one...good score!View attachment 775817 I have a 4" heavy barrel. Just got this one too.
That's the way we've become in the USA. Buy it cheap several times over. Thanks for the kind words.

I wish Ruger still supported this series but word is this was not a profitable model series. That’s ironic, you build something that lasts and it’s not profitable
Did you ever send it back to the factory?I had one of the same vintage, only 4 inch barrel and stainless. It would jam up tight for no reason at times. Least reliable revolver I have ever seen.
Nope. I did face off with a 500 pound bear at 6 feet one night with that gun. Bears don't like .357 bullets close to their ears.Did you ever send it back to the factory?
I picked up one just like yours about 4 years ago for $175 at a gun show. I walked pass the table it was on a few times. There was no price tag showing and I just knew the the seller was going to be asking top dollar. So on the third or forth time walking by the table I stopped and asked to look at it. I was shocked to see the yellow sticker on the side of the gun marked $175. I was more then happy to buy it for the asking price.
It had the small grips on it, but I was able to pick up some Italian copies of the larger Ruger grips from CDNN. It's a great shooter.
Thanks for the kind words.
