I'm considering a 6.5" blued Single Six, three screw, I think it has a transfer bar and the serial starts with 60- . Finish is about 90%

I can get it for $318 out the door? I tend to wait on purchases for "good deals" what do you think of the above? I don't have to have it, but want to consider if its a good value?

Old Models don't have transfer bars unless, as Highlander observed, a previous owner sent it back for "upgrade."

If so, the original parts were returned with it, so where are they now?

If investment/collecting isn't a factor for you, that seems like a decent price if it's in good shape.

Should be $50 less with the conversion lockwork. Without the lockwork, it should be at least $75 less. It'll cost you $150 to get replacement parts and as-is, the Old Model conversion is almost unusable.

Does it have the magnum cylinder with it? If it comes with the extra cylinder and conversion parts it's a decent deal.

Yes, it has the magnum cylinder w/ it. I believe it has the ruger box as well.

I don't for certain if it has a transfer bar, the sale guy told me it did because there was no firing pin on the hammer.. I have never had a wheel-gun myself before nor even handled them.

Where are you guys finding 90% 3 screws under $300.00.
I've got three that were well under $300. One is even a later model fixed sight .32H&R, which tend to be $100 or more over a comparable rimfire model.

When did you buy 'em? That can make a difference.

In The People's Republik you won't find a Single Six under $400 very often, much less a 3 screw.

Hell, this one was $200 ten years ago, the rest were five years ago and were $225-$250.

They're not growing on trees but it's not exactly uncommon either. Folks are always trying to get top dollar on Gunbroker but here's a really nice one in the box for $325.
