I love the little SA wheelgun.
I've got a New Model, convertable .22LR/.22Mag. It's got the hammer block and all. A lot of folks complain about the "safety mechanism" in the New Models but mine has a pretty decent trigger. I'm very impressed with it's build quality and it has some really beautiful, deep black and shiny blueing.
I got the 6" barrel and adjustable sights for better accuracy. I never considered at the time I bought it what Old Fuff said about the longer barrel and the magnum rounds, but that's certainly a benefit.
True to what others have said on this forum, mine does appear to be more accurate shooting .22WMR *if* I use the right ammo. So far, it seems to prefer Federal 50gr and hates CCI. It is certainly less picky with .22LR and has consistent performance among just about all brands. As a matter of fact, this is the gun I use to shoot up all the .22LR that my other guns don't like.
