Recently inherited a Single Six - 22 Lr w/ the second cylinder for 22 WMR ... according to the owners manual I shouldn't use either cylinder if it doesn't have serial numbers that match the frame ... I can't find serial numbers on either cylinder, does anyone know where they are located ... looks like both cylinders have been w/ the gun for years ...

The numbers are located on the forward end of the cylinder or the end toward the muzzle. The numbers should be the last 3 digits of the revolver's serial number. Sometimes they are very hard to see or read. .

Mine has the last 3 #'s of the serial number in the same spot danjet500 described. It looks like someone hand scribed them, they are pretty crude looking.

Numbers are on the cylinder "Front" on my 50th Year Single-Six.

Last 3 digits of the gun's S/N are 'electro-penciled' on. Kinda crude looking, but you KNOW you have the matching cylinders. If the gun has been shot A LOT, the numbers may be hiding under the crud.
