what would you guys pay for a new ruger single six. a gun shop has one down the road and he's asking 404.00 i think thats alot myself what do you guys think?

Seems like a decent price to me.

I gave $415 for a stainless two years ago.

It's fair IF NIB and BOTH cylinders are present.

Ditto on that! I just bought a like NIB for $325.00 and considered it a great deal!

I bought mine this past Friday at a local gun store. New in box, both cylinders for $429. Bass Pro had the same gun for $479.

I paid $370.00 for my NIB 9.5" .22 convertible a few weeks ago, but my dealer is exceptional.

i seen a stainless about a month ago at a gunshop the guy was asking 299 for it. sad to say it's sold or i would be jumping all over it now .

It's a very fair price, especially if it's stainless steel (and I wouldn't buy one that wasn't stainless). The gun is exceptional, and I recommend Paco Kelly's bullet whacker to give it maximum accuracy. The reason? Ruger makes the bore just a tad latger to accommodate the .22 mag. By using Kelly's tool, you make the .22LR just a tad larger.
