Ruger SP 101 .357 mag for women?

I like mine. As long as she doesn't mind how much it weighs. Tell her to get a good holster and never carry in a purse.

The holster has not been a big issue for me since 1. I have it as a HD gun so I don't need to carry the pistol 2. I live in CA so it is almost impossible to get a concealed carry permit. I just would like the option to carry my SP101 if I want to without changing out my grips.

Foe a SD handgun, the 3 or 4 inch .357/.38 Special is about ideal. For the Magnum load a 110 gr will have a lot less recoil. Id use the CorBon.
