I recently picked up a Ruger SR22 threaded barrel .22lr pistol and took it to the range today for the first time. The gun was decently accurate out the box so I screwed the can on, a Guardian 22. It then shot 4" left and 4" high. I double checked, tightened things up, same outcome. Removed the suppressor, it shot to POA. Put it back on, 4"/4" same as before.
I'm pretty confident there were no baffle strikes after a post-mortem examination. And the accuracy with the can was superb, just not to POA.
I've shot this can with two different 22/45's, 4 different rifles in .22lr and .22WMR and never had it affect POI.
Any thoughts on what's going on here? Ammo was Federal standard velocity bulk. Ruger recommends standard or sub-sonic if a suppressor is used on the SR22.
Thanks.
