I'm looking at this pistol and it reminds me so much of the Walther P22. I love the P22 and have been thinking of a 22 autoloader lately. Which of these two might be the better buy?

I'll be able to hold an SR22 tomorrow, and I have already sent a few hundred rounds through a P22, so I know how that one feels.

I had a P22 and now have an SR22 that IMO is a far better pistol.

The P22 was very ammo sensitive where the SR22 shoots everything just fine.

Just looking at the finish between the two should make you want the SR22.

I love my SR22. It's accurate, although perhaps limited by its short sight radius - but easily hits beer can of angle at 25 yards. I was hitting spent shotgun shells at 7 yards the first time out with it before I even regulated the sights.

I've shot about 5 different kinds of ammo - mostly the cheapest stuff I can find but some premium in the mix as well and it all runs perfectly. It's well designed and well built and easy to field strip and clean. It's one of my favorite guns to plink with.

I liked the first one I bought so well (2/12) I bought a second and will buy a third when I find one under $300.
Crimson Trace laser on one. Light on the second. Third will be iron sights.
Friends and I have shot them a LOT, mostly with inexpensive Wal Mart 550 bulk pack ammo.
Seldom a couple days go buy that I don't shoot the SR22 (home ranges).

Everyone that shoots the SR22 likes it.

SR22 pistol... no contest for reliability.

As Bikerdoc said, I tried it... but I kept mine. :D
