In post # 12 the OP said he decided on and bought an SR-22,,,
I own one and can say he didn't make a bad choice at all.
It has the features I like in a pistol:
But it lacks one feature I would miss.
It's basically a single-action,,,
Once you chamber a round it's cocked,,,
There's no way to "lower the hammer" or un-cock it,,,
You must rely completely on the safety switch and that I'm not fond of.
In a range shooter that's fine,,,
But in any situation where it's in a holster I'm leery.
But hey,,,
