I found a rail that closely matched the diameter of the barrel (don't remember which one).
I do a little light gun smithing, so I drilled and tapped the barrel myself.
I think most gunsmiths charge about $20 a hole, plus labor. Atleast from what I've heard, I attempted to create a 91/30 scoped rifle but found the cost of all the modifications could've bought me a entry level .308
As I recall I used a Weaver rail. Found it in the gun store's junk box. I just kept trying rails until I found one that matched the barrel's diameter. Then I cut it to the length I needed.
The Ruger rail that comes with the Ruger MKIII might be close.
$20 a hole isn't bad considering the gun could be messed up if done wrong.
