Looking for a new gun to shoot at the range. I am currently putting quite a few rounds thru my HK P30 and I love it but I need something different. Plus my son and I are really pumping some rounds thru the HK(Flawlessly I might add). I was looking at my local gun store here in Ct. and I handled a Ruger SR9 in Stainless that I really liked the feel of. Its priced right at $399 brand new. Most reviews n this gun look favorable. Any feedback on this as a choice would be appreciated. Recoil, Accuracy, reliability etc... I know the HK's are twice the money but will I be disappointed with this piece ? Basically looking for a Range gun thats enjoyable for my 20 year old and I to eat target ammo with..

Thanks

I'm really happy with mine. I just added a Ghost trigger bar and it lighten the pull quite a bit. I also have a Hogue HANDALL universal grip, helps fill the palm.
As far as shooting it's very accurate, recoil doesn't bother me except on the pocket pistols like the P11, LCP and the LC9 which I recently purchased. Sure was a pleasure to return to the SR9 after shooting the LC9.
I've had no problems with mine but I'm sure Ruger would take care of any problems.
Nice pistol, can't go wrong.

My brother bought an SR9 a few months ago. It's a very nice gun - good ergonomics, great accuracy (the standard adjustable sights are really nice), and 100% accurate so far (after about 500 rounds). Looks nice in stainless steel too.
