New SR9

According to Ruger, some pistols below the cut-off number were converted prior to leaving the plant. The numbers were chosen to insure that all possible early-trigger guns were included. One of the reasons why you're to call first.

Question for you gentlemen who have the SR9's:

When I had one (first gen.) I had issues with the mag release being sticky & very difficult to press. I returned it to Ruger and they replaced the catch but it was still a problem. Are the mag releases on your guns easy to operate?

I'd like to get another SR9 if this issue is now resolved.

Thanks for your response(s).

My SR9 went through the recall before I bought it per Rugers great customer service reply. The mag release is great and the trigger is very good and getting better. This is a far better pistol than my PM9 was out of the box but Kahr did do a fine job of making that one right. I'm a revolver guy but I love this Ruger. Everything about it is nearly perfect. I've shot my friends MP9 and a couple other "higher end" pistols and I'll stay with the SR9. I was torn between the MP9 and the SR9 at the gunshop counter but, for me, I made the best choice.
