I'm considering either a Super Blackhawk 7.5" (w/ square back trigger guard) or a 50th Anniversary Flattop.

Anyone have issues with the 50th Anniversary Flattop trigger guard banging their finger under recoil? I know this is an issue with the square back guards on the Supers. Heard one person saying that the small grip frame on the 50th makes for a finger buster as well.

Any experiences?

I have a SBH with the 4-5/8" barrel = round trigger guard (and small frame?), chambered in .44Mag. Purchased 8-10 years ago. Don't know if it is still current production as I have not keep up with the Ruger brand lately. 300gr Federal cast core rounds are about the most stout that I have shot with it. Not a problem at all for me. No banged up finger, even after target shooting a box of 50.

FWIW, I wear XL gloves, but not while shooting the above mentioned revolver... Some peoples issues may be more related to hand size and/or grip strength and shooting styles?

Enjoy whatever one you choose!

Assuming you mean the 50th Anniversary 44Mag (the 357 is a much smaller frame), the grip is...interesting.

It's a Colt SAA-size (more or less) grip frame same as on the New Vaquero. A lot depends on your hand size, and whether or not you tend to shoot with a "pinkie under" hold. Medium-to-small hands will appreciate the newer grip, or bigger hands if you do pinkie-under.

Pinkie-under will be tricky though because both 50th Anniversary guns have standard Blackhawk/Vaquero hammers - the thumb reach gets a little crazy. Which is why I swapped to a lower SuperBlackHawk hammer on my New Vaquero.

So far nobody is making oversize grips for the New Vaquero and Anniversary-model grip frame. That should change at some point and one of the custom gripmakers could probably oblige if that's what you need.

Final thought: a used SBH might be available cheap enough that the gun plus the cost of a set of Bisley parts (grip frame, grip panels, hammer, trigger) might total about the same or even less as a new 50th Anniversary 44 if you do the conversion work yourself. In my opinion once you hit 44Mag power levels you should at least consider the Bisley ergonomics and if you can't fire one, at least see how it feels in the hand.
