Just bought my 2nd RSB with the 10 1/2 inch barrel. It is a late 1979 shipping origin. Beautiful Blue, just like my last one that I sold and regretted ever since. A hog hunter talked me out of it. At the time I was thinking 480 Ruger or 454 Casull. So when the Lipsy Bisley edition 454 Casull came out, I bought one having already fired 6 rounds thru a Super Redhawk. I knew it was a stout caliber but I handload and can load milder rounds. The only thing was that the bisley trigger guard design has a painful index finger hit sometimes when firing. And finding grips for a bisley left me no option but to sell it. I have a Pachmayer grip on my RSB and can shoot the very hottest rounds available. This thing is amazing. I can hit clays slightly more than 100 yards away at my range most of the time. I am going to crono it soon against my Redhawk and a 8 3/8 S&W 629. I had an increase last time of over 150 fps with some loads. It seems that heavy hot loads increase in velocity difference than light slow loads.Lovin this Ruger
