I want one of those Super BlackHawk Hunter with the Bisley grip... I have absolutely no need for one, but I'm strangely drawn. :uhoh:

this was my grandfather's old model Single Six in 22lr. According to Ruger's website it was made in 1958. I'm sure it's not worth much, but the sentimental value can't be quantified.:)

My Ruger Family Photo, Clockwise, from top left:

KP-90 .45ACP
Limited Edition Sheriff's Model Vaquero .357 Mag
50th Year Single-six, .22LR cylinder installed

OK, OK...the KP-90 isn't a wheel gun, but there was so much whining and complaining about not being in the family foto...

If we're doing "family" photos, here's mine.
My next purchase will be a SBH in 41 mag. Dealer has one I fondle everytime I go in there.

Great looking guns! Here's my new SRH, after redoing factory wood finish with Tru- Oil, and buffing out grip screw and screw inserts.

Sorry for bringing back an old thread, but here's my 'new-to-me' New Model Single Six. According to the guys on Rugerforums and on Rugermania, it's one of the rare S4 models that only came with the .22LR cylinder in the 4 5/8" barrel length, of which there are only 3-4 known examples of. It has a star on the bottom side of the frame in front of the trigger gaurd denoting it as such. It's nice in that it's rare, but I want something I can SHOOT! Oh well, here it is.

And here's a shot of the engraved star.

Hopefully there'll be MANY more Ruger SA revolvers to come, namely an Acusport Bisley SS 5.5" .45colt (If I can ever find one), a Bisley Hunter in .44, and for some strange reason, the local shop has a 3 3/4" Sheriff's Model Vaquero (I THINK it's in .45colt) which I am strangely drawn to. Oh yea, and a friggin' single six I don't have to worry about shooting!

Here's a few of mine.

Little off-topic, but it seems like a lot of you guys have the standard grip .45colt's either in blackhawks or vaqueros. How do they handle hot loads? I've read so many negative things about how the hammer bites the web of your hand, etc. that I'd figured everyone would be going towards Bisley's. Which hand size/shape does the standard work better for?
