What's been the reaction to this new model?

I think it's gorgeous, but would love to hear what other, more experienced folks think.

I as well think that is gorgeous. I have shot some Rugers but no single actions above .22 mag. Nice looking gun.

I just might buy a few if I can sell off my current Vaquero revolvers. I always did like the Bisley grip frame on Ruger revolvers. I'm not crazy about the Colt Bisley.

I wonder how it compares to Uberti and Cimmaron Bisleys?

Related question: I've heard it said that you can't "fan" a Ruger or a Beretta. That's a big disadvantage, in my mind--fanning seems like it'd be fun. Do the Ubertis allow fanning?

Fanning any SA well accelerate wear and tear. If you don't mind doing the maintenance I don't know why a Ruger can't be fanned.
