I was at a local shop today and saw a fairly clean russian sks.
Just wondering if the price they have on it of $249.00 is reasonable.
All the exterior numbers ( mag cover, bolt, stock, reciever ) matched and there were no crack or dings in the wood, other than the russian markings. The finish on the stock is very dark. Is this typical of Russian SKS wood? The blueing was really clean with the exception of the very tip of the muzzle. A little thin around the the tip of the muzzle. I looked down the bore and it looked to clean and bright. Are russian barrels chrome lined?

Any advice would be great.
Thanks,
Jason

That's a very good price for a Russian SKS - pass it up only if you'd rather privately tell me where to find it. :)

That is a good price for a Russian. They are deemed more collectable because they are Russian, and they weren't available for(what seems) very long.

I now chuckle when I think back to when I bought mine. Everyone thought I was crazy to spend $125.00 on an SKS when a Chinese could be had for 75.00.
