Iced in this past weekend in OK and was looking (and drooling) at a new semi hunting rifle for my Father-in-law. Winchesters look excellent-possibly going to get him one- to trade for that dusty old 30-06 woodsmaster he has. Since I'm a BIG beretta fan I looked at the really ugly RX4-no caliber choices/ not a contender. Looked at the Benelli R1 and noticed it had a quick change barrel application, just couldn't find ( on the website) any barrels offered for sale. BUT I noticed that the barrel attachement design LOOKS exactly like the Beretta RX4, NOW WE MIGHT BE TAKLKING. change extractor-modify feed lips on the mag-Possibly a 308 RX4. Not that I would even try such a pointless swap, but how come Beretta USA doesn't even seem to get it right? It's obvious that the technology is shared across the brands- but a 243/260/7-08/308 in the RX4 would trump their current model. The Benelli R1 is chambered in a magnum caliber:evil: , what is so "wrong" with a little something extra in the RX4?:banghead: That horrible looking stock would be really pretty with a little something more powerful under the hood. I can only dream.........
