If I recall something I read not long ago, you can convert a Glock 27 to a 9mm? Would it affect the accuracy of 9mm? Here's what I'm getting at: I want a Glock 26, but am having a hard time finding them in this area. I have found a few new 27 models. So I was considering the idea of getting a 27 and buying the aftermarket conversion kit for 9mm. But would the 26 still be more accurate and functional overall? Should I just wait for a 26 to show up?

And then I want to know can you do the same with the M&P .40 compact?

Someone with more info will chime in shortly I am sure. For now, however, I can tell you I have a G27 with a drop in 357 barrel. Mag can stay the same. If I guess right, you could change the G27 barrel and mag to the 9MM and have the same gun offered as the G26. As far as I can tell from my experience the accuracy is not affected in my setup.

I know nothing of the M&P.
