I haven't had my 15-22 out for quite a while. Today it was 84 degrees with low humidity and a light breeze. Soon the snow will be flying here in NW Pennsylvania so today was the day to go shooting.
These rifles are a blast to shoot and my 325rd box of Federal Auto Match was gone in no time. I guess next time I had better bring more ammo.
Just got done cleaning it up and snapped a picture, so here it is:

They are a lot of fun. And a lot more enjoyable with one of these.

Maybe someday I'll get a loader but for now I usually load up a bunch of mags the night before shooting while I watch TV. I had all the mags pictured preloaded for today's trip. That would be 150 rounds worth. I have another 6 or 7 magazines I could have loaded but didnt

$22.50 for the quick loader and $6.00 for each adapter and I can't buy them from Midway or Brownells....

While the S&W 15-22 25 round mags are on sale right now for $13.99 each. That's two new mags for the same price as the loader. So, like the OP, I have plenty of mags and will likely just buy more.

Jonsey,

Nice looking Klien Kaliber AR. Hmmm KKAR to describe the .22LR AR types, I like it. Or maybe ARKK. Either works.

Looks like you had fun. I will think of you after the snow sets in and I am still mowing in Florida.

Still every time I see S&W 15-22 I think "Wow, when did the Combat Masterpiece get up to 22 models and why is this dude posting revolver stuff in rifles?"

I too have several magazines and they're much easier and quicker to load using the loader. My fingers and thumb approve this msg.

Right now gunmagwarehouse.com has magazines for these on sale at $11.99. They are factory mags. Shipping is reasonable too. Economy shipping is $5 and you can get 3 or 4 shipped for that price. I have ordered from them a few times and been happy with their service

The S&W 15-22's are a neat little trainer; I had fun with one a couple years ago teaching a co-worker how to shoot pistol. He had a 15-22. I gave him some pointers on stance.

His before stance:

we had a lot of fun with that little 'KKAR'. :)

I don't have a 15-22 and have never used the speed loader above but I have the one mcfadden makes for a browning buckmark. It is very well worth the $22 for that! A little tip, if stops feeding smoothly give the hopper a quick spray with rem oil or similar.

Anyone want a free 10 round mag, 1st PM with an address gets it. I had a 15-22 for a while. Neat gun, but I never fell in love with it. I sold it, then months later found a magazine I forgot I had.
