S&W 1911, Changing The Sights?

Bought a new S&W 1911 a few weeks ago and like the gun, however, the Novak sights have very small white dots that are useless for my old eyes.

I want to replace the sights but some of the ones I looked at require miling, I am not going to get into that.

I have Meprolight night sights on one of my Sigs and like them.

Anyone have experience changing the Novak sights with a perfect fit replacement?

I am reluctant to ask a salesperson at one of the internet gun stores since I have been given bad info a time or two.

Champion sights are Novak cut, and have a larger white ring around the tritium vials like Meprolights.
