Picked up a model 36 for the cheap, $ 200 OTD. Dry fires like a dream. Put rounds in it and there appears to be a problem. Doesn't want to turn the cylinder? Is the timing off? An ideas? IF so is it an easy fix? What would the typical cost to repair, or should I trade it off.
Thanks Rick

It sounds more like the ammunition, if it dry fires OK. First, (and I apologize for asking) does the ammo fit? Could the bullet noses be sticking out the front of the cylinder? Is the ammo .38 Special?

How about headspace? With one round in the cylinder, can the cylinder be turned so the round is in line with the barrel? If it is tight, then there could be a couple of different problems, but first we have to diagnose the problem.
