A local shop to me has a snub model 37 that I looked at last week and i can't get it out of my head (might be in love). Anyway, its blued and in very good condition. He is asking $359 for it. From what I see on the net this is about average. Post post some picture and experance with the 37, maybe it will put me over the edge.....:D

I love mine, it is in my pants pocket as I write . . . replacing a steel framed Model 36 that I thought was perfect until I got the Model 37.

The original owner of mine bought it as he nightstand gun in 1971. He was the second husband of a lady who survived the death of three husbands . . . and she eventually just wanted to get rid of the old Model 37 that spent its life in the nightstand! I doubt it had more than ten rounds shot through it!

I paid $399 for mine about 3-4 years ago, a fine price for a really nice M37 with original wood stocks in perfect condition too . . . serial numbered to the gun.

I took off the original stocks and stored them and put on a set of Patrick Grashorn's (Grashorn Gunworks of CO) handmade America Elk stag grips and a Tyler T-grip. Sturdy and GORGEOUS, IMHO!

It remains my "always" (always on me) concealed carry handgun and I trust my life to it. It rides in a Desantis Nemesis nylon holster (they don't hold moisture and sweat like leather holsters do, and they are really economical too! Heck, you don't see the holster anyway!!!

Here's mine . . .

OK! S&W fan thats all it took. I'm see if its still there tomorrow. $78 dollars new huh?.....I'll not read anything into that lol.

I bought one about 8 months ago at a pawn shop in excellent condition but without box and without original grips. I paid under $300 out the door. My thoughts on gun buying (especially older used guns) if you want it and the price isn't carzy buy it. I love the Mod 37 and 36. Just don't shoot +P ammo in it. The 37 wont hold up using +P ammo.

I'm not planning on any +p loads. I have my Security six for 357 if Im feel the need. Im going to stop after work and see if its still there!

Smith had a price increase! The first Model 36 I bought for off-duty use in 1973 cost me $107.50 out the door and I was making $600 a month.:)
