Enjoy!
In the early Nineties, I bought a 3913 as soon as I could get my hands on one, and later added a Model 3953, the DAO version. I preferred the 3953, so sold the 3913 to a colleague, and it ended up in his wife’s duty holster. Eventually, my 3953 ended up with a dear friend, when I decided to go all-in with 1911 pistols, for a while. I hope she still has it.
The 3913, and its derivative models, are really wonderful little pistols. I do shoot noticeably better with handguns that fill my hands just a bit more, especially in grip length, but there are times that a single-column-mag compact nine is just so very handy.
In 2019, I found a well-preserved railed Model 3913 TSW at a nearby gun store, and ended up buying it. I did not get around to test-firing, before the panic-demic started, but, now that my wife and I both have our second COVID vaccine shots, I hope to get back to the range, soon. It may have to be a lefty-only gun, as compact nines vex the arthritis in my right thumb, hand, and wrist, but, perhaps, being all metal will help, and I can hang weight, such as a WML, on the rail, to damp recoil during at least some training.
