Hi all. I was in 2 different gunshops in the past few days and both had a S&W .45 Auto Recon edition which looked like a 4" .45 ACP with the barrel extruding about 1/4" at front? First one I saw was balck finish - $599.00 the other was SS, I didn't get the price on that one. It said on the tag, S&W performance center model. I have the 2005 S&W catalog, and I don't see it in there. Can anyone give me some details and if it's a good/bad buy at that price.
