Hey guys, I'm just posting a little bit of news, maybe it will motivate some to do the same.
I really like my 659, but it has always had a heavy SA trigger pull. I have polished the hammer notch and the sear, which helped a little, but still it wasn't great. I read about getting reduced power springs, so I gave it a try. I didn't feel like being too risky so I took the least ammount of reduction on the hammer spring and trigger spring:
Hammer Spring 20lb to 18lb
Trigger Spring 4lb to 3.5lb
I just took it to the range and there was a noticeable improvement. It's not a hair trigger by any means but it is much more reasonable. I'm sure you could try even more reduction on the springs but I don't feel like deviating much from stock.
Very happy with my purchase, I think it was about $15 with shipping.
