I tried in gunsmithing, no luck..thought I'd try here. I figured out how to remove the trigger, trigger bar and related springs... already got the Wolff replacement trigger spring (much eaiser to reinstall that's for sure! I'd like to drop in a lower powered main spring, but can't quite figure out the proper way to get to it.

This is a PT92 AF (with safety and decocker, frame mounted). I have a feeling I've got to drift out a pin and remove the safety, seems the hammer might run on that...

Anybody know for sure???

We'll I can't say for sure but I just made the modificaitions you are working on to my Beretta 92. It is pretty simple I used the instructions here:

http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/6078/92f.htm

Basiclly you tap out the retaining pin (located under the grips toward the bottom of the frame) then carefully (spring will fly across the room if you let it) remove the lanyard loop. The spring will fall out. Just add you wolff spring and press the lanyard loop back in until the holes align and drive the pin back in. It helps if you press it on the underside of a desk and use the punch to hold it in place until the pin can be reinserted. As with most things involving guns a third arm is a godsend. :)

Thanks, that looks like it might be the ticket, the only concern I have is the silly built in taurus trigger lock..perhaps while I'm in there I can remove it (as I never use it anyway).

It appears that these instructions are probably correct, with the addition of one more step. There is another pin above the hammer spring 'plug' pin that retains the integral locking device (which has to be removed). Be aware it contains a very small ball bearing and spring detent device!

I gave it a shot, but the retaining pin appears to be an extremely tight fit... I couldn't bring myself to whack it hard enough to even move it.. so I figured I'd leave this project.. But from what I can tell these instruction should work.
