I was hoping for one last S&W prelock for Christmas.
I figured my last find was at the gun show a few weeks ago when I scored a NIB M14-4.

Anyway, I was out doing errands yesterday, recently retired :) and decided to go by my favorite pawn shop.
Well there in the case was this specimen.
I gave it the once over, haggled and made it my Christmas present to myself.

It’s in great shape, P&R. According to the SCSW it was born in 1978.
All it needs is a good cleaning.
It will have a home between its brothers a 2 1/2 and a 6 inch.

Imo the model 19-66 p and r were the best looking revolvers smith and Wesson ever made. Finding a good example is getting harder every day.

I miss my 66. I swear if I could find it (Has S.C.W & M. RD stamped on the side) I would trade both my Ruger Match Champion and no dash 686 that bought ( but im not 100% happy with either one) to get it back.

Oh my, I'm speechless, what a beauty.

For some silly reason I thought my model 66 proclivity had been satiated.

Congratulations on a great find!
