Well, I just got done cleaning up my newest piece. Bought a S&W 681 with 4 inch barrel for $174. The shop had just taken it in and hadn't even had time to clean it up. So, I was looking it over real careful checking lock up and for end shake. It checked out good. Dropped a cleaning rod with jag on down the barrel to check cylinder line up each cylinder was fine. Asked how much for it the way it was and the answer was 174 bucks. Hope I didn't get robbed too bad.

update

I took the revolver to the range. It shoots just great. At 15 yards double action 12 shot groups ~2.5 inches. I used S&B 158 grain. .357 Magnum ammunition, which shot about 2 inches low. Have to work up a load that shoots to point of aim. The trigger on this gun is smooth. The finish of the gun is at least 90% maybe more. The only blemishes on itr are on the top strap where the stainless steel has a matte finish as there were some spots of surface rust that I scrubbed off. The dealer I bought it from gave me a pair of S&W original wood grips that look pretty good. I have it in an IWB holster that i have for another gun. I just can't get over how good of shape this gun is in. I guess the old owner just left it in a glove box or something cause it looked used but not fired alot before I cleaned it up.
