S&W 686 8" Barrel Price Check

The seller is asking $650 for a like new 686 pre-lock in an 8" barrel. Is he asking too much?

I'm not sure about the going price. Theyr'e no longer made.

However, if you can get it for a fair price, I highly recommend it. A friend of mine has one and it's a truly wonderful shooter.

I paid $450+tax for this very gun a few days ago, but think I was just lucky to be in the right place at the right time. See if you can get it for $550. Here's a photo of mine.

That is a bit pricey for a 4" or a 6". I don't know about an 8", but it seems pricey to me.
