M&P 40 Pro 5" Spec Sheet

Well, here it is! I'm looking forward to picking one up sometime this year. Yes it's ugly, but I'll take the upgrades.

Interestingly, they also have a 4.25" M&P 40 pro!

I must be dumb or something, but I'm not seeing the "upgrades" anywhere on the spec sheets. What is it exactly that makes this "Pro Series" different than the standard models?

.75" longer slide (for the 5"), fiber optic front sight, and performance center trigger (lighter pull, crisper break, more positive reset).

For as much money as they ask for the standard M&P's, they should put a decent trigger on them.

Instead, they give it a different name and roll mark, and charge you more. No, thanks anyway. TJ

The standard does have a "decent" trigger, in fact it's just about ideal for a duty/carry weapon. The Pro has a lighter trigger designed for Target Shooting and Competition, not carry/duty.

Well said.

Love the M&P.

As for "as much money as they ask for it..." It's the same $550 or so as the competition. (Glock and SA-XD)
All of those guns are good value.

I knew they'd come out with a .40 pro sooner or later. Limited division is in my future.

I don't care either way on the performance sear. I'd send it off to Dan Burwell anyway for the basic trigger job.
