Price point handgun for the "masses". Should have had it out a year ago.

What was it, the 408 series that came out as a masses pistol with a holster that was a feature/materialed down the higher priced equivalent?

Looks like they are pushing the Pro Series trigger throughout the M&P line which is a good move. I wonder if the SDT isn't like the "L" series trigger??

Is the SDT trigger like a H&K LEM or probably more like the Walther/Smith QA.

Other than the picatinny rail vs the weaver on the walther I would rather the Walther P99AS yet over any of the above with the possible exception of the 5 inch Pro Series from the Custom Shop.

I'm not sure you could have used any more acronyms in that post, DAdams. Your post was very difficult to read lol.

On the guns, they looks decent for the price point, I'd bet they'll sell okay.

In this case, however, it seems to be an upwardly-scaled version of the lower-priced equivalent (and I wouldn't bet on it being a new design).

Not that I ever found much fault with the trigger (I guess I'm not that picky in this regard), but some of the improvements are so obvious and simple that they should have been done from the beginning in the base model. At the very least, the firing pin block plunger should be rounded off, which would make the trigger pull much nicer without compromising safety.

Welcome ddeadserious

Right you are. Sorry for all the acronyms.

Decoder Ring:

LEM (H&K) = Law Enforcement Model

Walther QA and AS = Quick Action, Anti-Stress. Trigger action Type characteristic of the Walther P99 and Compacts. Some of these characteristics are found in the S&W, just called something else....

Like SDT from the ad linked above and L and Pro.

Right you are. All it takes is another $100 to get it right. Like the Pro Series triggers.
