S&W L-Frame .41 Maggie?

Hello group, what's the opinion on a L-Frame .41 Magnum, ream a PC model .40 version maybe?

There may be some difficulty reaming the titanium cylinder. I might also question the life of the forcing cone as it has to take the pressure of a full powered .41mag. Is there going to be enough meat left after the barrel has been rebored?

There was some discussion on THR and Glocktalk about G33 reaming her 646 from 40 s&w to 10mm and the info she got from S&W about the pressure that the Titanium cylinder would hold and the 41 magg would blow it to pieces maybe a 41 spec but not a maggie

Dave Clements might be able to build one for you, he builds 5 shot 41 Mags on the GP100. I'm sure he'd be able to tell you wether it's feasible or not.

Search for a Smith model 57 or 58. I really enjoy my pair of 58's unless you really wish to employ a gunsmith.

I don't know if Dave Clements would do a conversion of the M586 or M686 to .41 special anymore. He does not make S&W cylinders at present, though he will do barrels. You might want to check out the Taurus Tracker in either titanium or stainless steel in .41Magnum.
