well i just bought one and befor it gets here i want to buy some quad rail covers for grip. i found some online but did't know if they would fit. here is what they are UNDER THE GUN" WEAVER-PICATINNY RAIL PROTECTIVE COVERS. please let me know. also what is the best grained ammo and brand for my 22lr?

AVOID Remington "Golden Bullet" .22LR for your 15-22. Has a proven history of causing problems in the 15-22. Any other high-velocity ammo should be good. Buy a box of several brands to see what your gun likes. Keep in mind it will take several hundred rounds for the gun to break in. Any rail cover should fit unless they are junk.

M&p 22

5000 rounds and still going strong. I use CCI ammo and bought two 5000 rounds cases of CCI 6 months ago. I've had problems with Remington 22 ammo and so have a lot of my customers. I did have an extractor break on one of my M&P 22's and S&W had it back to me in 7 days, they won't sell M&P 22 parts so that's why I had to send it back. I clean every 300 rounds to avoid any problems. I would think that standard AR covers would fit.

I've had one for about two years and haven't had any issues with it. CCI and Federal 550 bulk pack have been excellent. I use ERGO Low-Profile Rail covers on mine.

You will love this rifle. Don't use Remington and you will be good to go. A good quality red dot sight is recommended such as a Vortex Strikefire or Primary Arms Red dot.
You made a good decision.

welll right now i have a barska red dot sight and a laser pointer for it.. now i just need the gun

I've run a lot of Winchester Super X through mine - seems to do very well with that ammo; cheap federal bulk from Wally World also works just fine.

Mine hated Federal Bulk, but runs the Auto Match very well. It also like Winchester X-Pert. All of my .22s run well on CCI Mini Mags.
