Back in March of 2010 I ordered my M&P 45 from Buds Guns.
I picked it up the afternoon it came in and had it at the range the next morning
I went out to our Police range to do some shooting. I put 250 rounds of Federal 230 gr FMJ through it. It fuctioned 100%.
I also shot the LA state POST corse and scored a 108 out of 120. The trigger was a little stiff, but it's much better now.

This is what the muzzle looked like after I was done shooting

Here is my POST target. The corse is a total of 60 rounds fired from 25, 14, 7, 4 and 2 yards.

I shot this 10 round group at 7 yds off hand, just before I left the range.

Here I am with one of our Range instructors, Mike, and good friend of mine. You can see the M&P on my hip in a Black Hawk holster.

Well I have put on a few lbs since that pic was taken and the M&P is my off duty weapon.
Several of my friends on my Dept have shot my M&P and have fallen in love with it.

If you get a chance to shot one of the M&Ps you will like it.

Man, you are making it harder for me to resist the call of the M&P .45. Thanks for the range report. I took one for a test drive at my range and I really liked it. I'm getting closer to picking one up.

The M&Ps are a nice pistol. I have a 9 pro and a 40c. I let customers shoot them upon request and not one has had a bad thing to say.

I haven't been able to justify buying the .45 because I'm heavy into 1911s :D (Partly why I like the M&Ps- similar ergos)

Nice looking gun. I prefer the 1911 if I am shooting .45, but have really been enjoying my S&W M&P 9C. Really nice gun. My only complaint is the ugly warning in white saying the gun can fire without the magazine in... I think Smith did a good job with the M&P line. I have an AR in from their M&P line, no problems with it either.

I'm a big fan of the 1911 and always will be, but this M&P in 45 is soooo sweeeet.
I just re-qualified with the M&P in November and I shot a 110. I scored a 114 with my duty weapon, a Glock 22 4th gen.
I always drop a few points at 25 yards and sometimes in off hand.
As long as the weather is good, I do my best to make it to the range once a week.
