Took my S&W 15-22, out this morning and fired a variety of ammo thru it, the CCI Standard velocity, Remington Target, Federal Target Premium, and Remington Golden Bullet. Allthough the owners manual said not to shoot the Remington Golden Bullets thru it seemed to shoot the most accurate. One thing I did notice after changing to a different type ammo, it took about 5-10 shots before it would start to shoot to it's potential. I only shot out to 50 yards with it using open sights, but had some pretty impressive groups, shooting from the prone position had a lot of 1.5" groups, and a few just a frogs hair under an inch, using the Remington Golden bullet, shooting 5 shot groups. Not bad I don't think for a 16 1/4" barrel.
