Well, if Pre 10's are OK, then here is one of mine.

Sorry, but I don't have any model marked 10's right now.

I found this one not too long ago at a decent price. She's a keeper. I've since added the Tyler T-grips and they've made a world of difference.

whitecoyote,
2 things:
1. I am now guilty of coveting that MSP 2.5" M10 (sweet)
2. Welcome to THR. Nice inaugural post.

Is it safe to assume they both shoot as well as they look? Cause if that's the case, those 2 old LEOs are simply superb... elegant even. Worthy of the phrase "I Will Defend"

Those are two fine looking Model 10's you've got there. Congratulations on their aquisition and thanks for sharing them with us.

This one is a 1905 4th change M&P/Victory model. Sadly, it was the victim of a very incompetent "gunsmith" and I'm working on putting it back into first class shooting shape. Fitted a new cylinder stop last night and she locks up like a bank vault now.

I bought this Smith in 1960 as a off duty carry gun.
I lost count at 10,000+ rounds fired through it.
The only thing I've had to do to it is replace a broken hammer spring.

I believe it shoots better now than when it was new.:)

I absolutely love the Model 10. I think it is one of the finest handguns ever made, as well as among the most elegant. I would go so far as to say that it may be the quintessential American revolver of the twentieth century. The only negative thing that I can say about it is that it is somewhat lacking in power, although the .38 special will still get the job done if you do your part.

I currently have only one: a blued M&P, circia 1941 vintage, with a six inch barrel. I paid $200 for it about a year and a half ago. I carry it pretty frequently. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures.

I REALLY want one with a 2" barrel for easier carry. Eventually, I'd like to add at least one of every available barrel length to my collection. They're outstanding guns at a still-reasonable price.

Has a 4" heavy barrel installed. It used to be a pencil barrel 4", but cracked the forcing cone and I like the heavy barrel's feel a lot better. :D It's circa mid 60s, was my grandpa's gun, very tight, little fired other than some local matches I've won with it. This thing is a danged good shootin' old gun.:D Like all my other serious shooters, this one wears a Hogue monogrip.

Just brought this home today, and stopped at the range on the way.
It shot great. From a semi-rested position it put a nice cluster in 2" at 15yds SA when I didn't screw up.

The internals need some smoothing work.
It came with factory grips, and The Herrett grips I found in the used bin for $15. The gun itself went for $205 (includes a little markdown).

It will get some action smoothing and a new hammer to be bobbed for DAO. Then I'll embarrass myself with a first crack at SSR IDPA.

Lovely piece.
My first fixed-sighted revolver, second Smith (my other car is a 14-3).

I think that's enough Smiths for me, I've got my fav's now.

My model 10-7, or at least that is what it started life as:

More mods than should be possible, but it will shoot a single ragged hole at 50 ft.

Not exactly a CCW piece however....
