WHat is the current market value for a S & W model 25, 1955 Target
with the 6 1/2: Barrel length. THe carbond steel high polish carbon stll blued model worth? a range for a good example.... ????

I paid $375 for one 2 years ago. I see them in the $400-$500 range most of the time. Not as much in demand as the Magnum calibers.

Prices in central Arizona seem to be running a bit higher that what SaxonPig quoted. I'm seeing $450 to $550, add ~$50 if it comes with the wooden case. The earlier no-dash models are bringing a bit more if they are in 98%+ condition. The pre-25s are much higher. I haven't seen many shooter grades for sale in the last few years, most who have them seem to keep them.

thanks, I've signed up to the S & W Forum and am waiting for
approval to post - I haven't got an answer back via email
so it may be a bust but I'll research the market better for the future.

I rarely see them for sale. I picked one up in 1997 for $300. A friend got one in AZ in 2005 for $565 with the 6 1/2" barrel. I passed one at $400 like 2 1/2 years ago.

Pretty near new in box $700-800. unless it is a 4 screw or more-add $250 at least.
90% with box (few tiny dings minor blue rubs, but clean and tight) $550-650 box, is worth at least $50 if wood.
70-80% (substantial blue /case gone . signs of lots of use ect.)no box $350-450
