I've located a S&W model 52 - no dash. When I hold it, my palm sweats and visions of x-rings being blasted to bits dance thru my mind. Very, very sweet pistol, however the 5 rd mag is killing the dream.. I shoot in a Bullsye match that requires 2, 12 rd course of fire. Does anyone know if a 6 rd mag conversion is possible? With the standard 5 rd mags running aroud $50 each, I'd hate to mess one up using the Dremel tool.

6-Round Conversion

Yes, it is possible, but I can't offer any insight as to how EXCEPT....I have 3 M52 mags, one of which holds 6 rounds.

If you want to trade 1-for-1 for that one, let me know.

Thanks kjack, I'll take you up on your offer for a mag swap after I pick up the model 52. Probably be next week , I'll hollar back at you then!

OK, here is the scoop on the Mag conversions for the M52...

Depress the button on the mag bottom and slide the retainer off, this lets you remove the spring.

Preferably use a Milling machine and an end mill cutter same size as the slot and extend the slot downward to accomodate one more round...

or you can use a Moto Dremel grinder tool or cutting tool...but essentially you are increasing the length of the existing slot, both sides.

This is how it is done...

thanks all
