S&W Model 53-inserts

I bought a mod.53 back in 1967 used and it had one insert missing,the gun shop ordered me another full set from S&W.The box had a place to store the inserts, I put one of the new ones in to complete the display.The whole mess was stolen in 2000,box,inserts,extra cyl. I still have the other 5 inserts,and have been told they might be worth something. Any thoughts on their value would be appreciated thanks, Ron

Reproduction inserts are about $15 bucks each when you can even find them.

On the otherhand, SCOS&W says to deduct $75 dollars for a Model 53 without them.

But I'd bet anyone with a Model 53 without them would give at least $100 bucks for five factory ones though.
