I have the 3" no dash version with full under lug and it is my favorite woods carry gun. It fits my hand perfectly.

The Model 60's claim to fame is that it's the very first (1965) factory-produced handgun made from stainless steel. I bought one in 1969 and still have a couple more Model 60 variations. You bought a classic revolver at a very good price. In my experience, J-frame revolvers have very hard and heavy da trigger pulls; my wife can't use one effectively for that reason anymore.

I bought a 60 and holster around 1973 as a working tool to woods carry when I solo cruised timber. Several cottonmouths and rattlers no longer crawl today because of it, but main reason was for protection from wild dog packs I’d occasionally run across in Deep South. There no counting the number of woods miles it has traveled!

Several of my friends, as well as my wife, have used it in the past to complete their CCP training. Wife has claimed it now! She loves it and is not to be messed with!

I also have one of the newer 642s, but it’s no match for that old 60!
