S&W Model 65

Got my 3" 65 today. Looks pretty, and the triggerpull is sweet!

Unlike the others who've had their pictures posted, mine appears to have Butler Creek(?) boot grips. Came with a trigger lock (which I'll pitch, they're DANGEROUS) and a four-way coin type screwdriver.

Gonna shoot it tonight!

I went to look at Legendary Gun's trade ins, and they were a little rough. Actions seemed fine, but the exteriors were pretty beat up. And they were only $5 cheaper.

I have since shot mine.

It was quite accurate at 7 yards. I had some problems with the trigger not resetting, and with light hits. I didn't see anything wrong. I had the smith look at it. He took the grips off and discovered that the strain screw wasn't in all the way. Once he screwed it in, I fired most of a box of the Federal "FBI" .38 Special load with no problems at all. It's a great gun and my first line home defense gun now.
