I called S&W about 2 months ago to have a 686 no-dash gun sent in for the firing pin bushing recall. I was told I would have a pre-paid return tag within 72 hours, either by email or snail-mail.
Well, 72 hours came and went, so did another month.
I called again, this time the gentleman on the phone did everything to convince me that I don't need to send it in for the recall. I told him I wished to have the recall work done. He finally agreed and I got the same 72 hour spiel.
Well, 72 hours came and went, so did another month.
You know, I'm a reasonable person, if they are not going to accept a revolver for recall, then say that. Jerking around customers is the fastest way to lose them.
Any suggestions as to my next move?
