This was a very tough acquisition for me to find. Here are pictures of my little jewel of an S&W(NYSP)Model 520(.357 magnum)revolver:

Sweet revolver. The older I get, th more I appreciate the looks of the partial underlug.
 
That's a beautiful revolver. Is it an N frame? It looks like it.

Didn't Smith come out with a blued version of that two piece barrel 620 they called a 520? That's spitting in the eye of this fine specimen you have.
 
Really nice Smith, kinda reminds me of the 38-44's in a way.

I bought one new when they were released for commercial sale by Smith about 1980 or so, if memory serves me correctly. I carried it as a duty weapon in LEO capacity for a few years.

My nephew has it now, tho', and it is still a great handling and shooting weapon...wish, now, I'd just put the thing away for a rainy day!
