S&W pre Model 10 "K frame" 4 screw

I have another old gun lying around that I thought I would run past you guys. By looking through classifieds and other blog postings, I believe it is a Pre Model 10 .38 special Serial c184xxx. Has a 6" barrel. I know it was a police issue weapon. My guess is early 1950's birth. Can anyone date this for me?

Post war .38 Military & Police (pre model 10) manufactured between 1948 & 1951. Serial range for those years was C1 to C223998.

That would be a 5 screw, BTW. They became 4 screw around 1956 or 57.
