I broke down and cleaned my poor Victory today. I have been getting some feeding issues. That and it’s been about 600 rounds since the last cleaning. The feeding issues seem magazine related so I cleaned them too. Aguila SE standard velocity and S&B Target ammo seem to have more lube? It smears and slows the top round enough I’ll drop the hammer on an empty chamber.

It seems to get kinda dirty then just stay there. It didn’t look much different than a 100 round cleaning.

I’ll say I really like this pistol. It’s accurate beyond any other pistol I have, shooting just over an inch at 25 yards with match ammo. It is somewhat finicky and won’t cycle some standard velocity loads, but does fine with others. It runs near 100% with high velocity loads (1250 fps) and shoots Winchester M22 with alarming accuracy and reliability; 1 failure out of a 500 round box.

I mounted a Holosun red dot and it seems to work well. The rail came loose a couple of times then the sight came loose once so I can’t really say the rail is a polymer rail is a problem. It might be the nut behind the wrench when tightening both. My only complaint is it’s a bit heavy but that 1” stainless barrel has to count for something.

I didn’t really mean to, but it was one of those things where it was shooting well and I didn’t want to mess with it. Those 600 rounds started with me not being able to hold a 6” group and ended with nearly cutting that in half. If only centerfire was as successful.

I have one of those and love it, even if it did fall out of the ugly tree. At least they're a snap to clean.

I had originally settled on a Ruger MkIV but I found the Victory on Black Friday sale for 40% off.

Just a few trophy pics of me and my daughters efforts during our second annual zombie shoot and some other range trips.

I upgraded the barrel, grips, trigger and sight mount on my Victory shortly after purchasing it. A few thousand rounds later the buffer was deformed. An email to the factory got me a free replacement buffer. After getting my can, I noticed it took almost three times as long to get all the crud out of the gun compared to my MKIV Lite with same ammo and can. Thus the Victory will soon be going down the road.

Can’t comment on that part. I don’t have a threaded barrel version. Mine is still stock from the factory other than the addition of the Holosun optic. I’m actually still not convinced inshoot better with it, but it’s finally zeroed and I’m not taking it off and starting that process again.
