I took my new pistol to the range with high hopes. Every review I saw mentioned that it was able to handle all sorts of ammo. I had it lubed as per the manual. Brought out 2 brands initially federal automatch and winchester m22 bulk.didn't seem to have too much issues first couple of magazines while zeroing except for stovepiping with federal automatch but it does it with my ruger so for me it's not an issue. I then had a lot of issues with failure to extract. I had to use my cleaning rod at least 10 times to push the cases out. problem is the rod gets stuck in the case so you have to do a lot of manipulation with a screwdriver. I had put oil in the extractor slot prior to shoooting. Has anybody experienced this?

I wiggled the extractor back and forth several times and used cci mini mags without issues. I then went back to the other brands and thereafter had no further extraction isssues.

I thought I'd like the fiber optic sights but at least yesterday it seems I shoot better with my ruger mark 2 with plain black posts, but during the same session, I had no issues with my fiber optic Williams fire sight in my gp100. Who knows.? I end up shooting high or low not infrequently with the victory I think because of a little flare from the sights.

Accuracy wise I think it's the same as my mark 2 if not for my sight issues and my vision.

How are the other 22 victory owners doing?

The first 525 rds through mine were federal bulk CP HP. had a few FTeject, and a few FTfeed.(round not picked up from mag) Since then, about 600 rds of minis with no problems. Plan to give it a cleaning, and then try the federal again to see if it was the ammo or needed broken in.

I shot mine for the first time on Friday. I also had failure to extract with Automatch, lot's of them actually. Also had some with Federal Champion. Accuracy was fine though.

It shot flawlessly with golden bullets (VERY accurate with these), American Eagle 38gr, and minimags.

The Wincherster M22 problem could be with the ammo. I've read elsewhere that the chambers seem to be tighter in these pistols. The M22 ammo is a bit over sized and won't even slip into the cylinder of my dads Ruger single ten. I'll have to try some in it next time I'm out at the range.

I'm hoping that with a few more hundred rounds down the pipe it'll be more tolerant on the Automatch, I have a ton of that ammo. Or hopefully Volquartsen will make an extractor in the near future.

Win M22 is not good ammo in my experience...I actually threw about 600 rounds in the trash...something I'd never done before. My friend has one of the Victory models and he had to threadlock the takedown screw or it would loosen and cause problems.
