I have just gotten a S&W 337 Ti .38 special. It is from 1999 and I am the 3rd owner. I know why the other two let it go I think.

The barrel is not QUITE screwed in far enough and the front sight leans a bit to the right. Therefore, it shoots left of point of aim.

Will S&W fix it under warranty? (Calling them tomorrow.) Hope so! We'll see and I'll report.

Just looking for opinions and maybe reassurance.

That was the Marty Feldman model. Seriously though it's hard to imagine the first owner not having Smith take care of the problem.

I sheared a pin inside my J-frame's... euh, frame and sent the gun to them in pieces inside of a zip-lock bag.

Received a new frame and my old parts were in the new gun, no issues.

You can file the claim online. I did it for a sigma. I got it from a guy who bought out used. I just said my slide cracked and they fixed it in a week. I dropped it, not their fault either but I did not tell them.

Updated: I called them this am and they are sending a prepaid mailing label for me to send it in. Sounds good to me. Said the problem could be easily fixed by them. Happy!

When my J-frame broke I got all kinds of flak from Ruger owners and the like, but I had a new frame in my gun and not a single issue from S&W.

I'll keep my Smiths.

S&W - Products made in America, & serviced by Americans.

I mean no disrespect to other nations & cultures, but it's dang nice to call a company & speak with someone who speaks English (as a FIRST language)!

My cell phone service is through Straight Talk, I'm guessing the customer service is in the Philippines.
It took me 4 phone calls to get my service started because they could not understand Wisconsin English.
