SA 4" all stainless Champion 1911 45

Need some input, pics, and what to expect.. gonna commit to order one in a few days..

Sights: did yours come with real night sights?

Trigger: adjustment, crisp? Talk to me..

Factory mags: good to go, or get some Wilson as well?

Grips: Wood, from NIB?

Cons, Pros, hints, pics, please..

TIA,

Ls

If it's the stainless steel loaded champion from Springfield Armory you are referring to...it is one, no THE prettiest 1911 under 1000 you can buy IMO. You won't be disappointed. Drives nails as well.

EDIT: Comes with cocobolo wood grips (mine had night sights but Im sure you can get them without).

7 yards clear leather empty gun

25 yards slow trigger's a touch heavy 5-6# but crisp only have 100 rounds so far 100%

Thanks for posting this question, as I am a bonus check away from picking one up myself. I would love any postive/negative feedback as well

You are talking the Loaded Champ, right? No pics at the moment, sorry, but I've got the SS Loaded, and love it; picked it up about a year ago. Never a malfunction of any sort. The 2 supplied factory mags have been flawless, and all my Wilson 8-rounders (47Ds) work as well.

I did swap out the factory coco bolo stocks for some nice shiny finished rosewood checkered double-diamonds that add a nice deep red contrast to the stainless (a little wider, look somewhat better, too).

Cons: some sharp edges (dust cover & slide serrations); disassembly a bit of a pain, no frontstrap checkering, and my personal preference would be an arched MSH.

Pros: excellent Novak style Trijicon nightsights, great balance, very accurate, and as said before, 100% reliable out of the box. Plus, when cleaned and polished, a truly pretty pistol.

I have an SA Micro Compact .45 and it is one of the best buys I've ever made. You can't go wrong with a Springfield!

So far mine is doing great. Bought it a few weeks ago and now have 300 rounds through it without any failures. I can shoot this gun as well as or better than I shoot my 5 inch 1911's.

Lonestar:

Perfect timing with this post; been leaning in the same direction as well.
